African American Postcards
Three postcards circa 1900 depicting African Americans. One postcard shows workers in a peanut field, another features a child on a pile of picked cotton. The third is a picture of James Smith, posed seated with a cane in one hand and a hat in another. It states that he was age 93, born in 1813 and the oldest living man in Hampton, Virginia.

This collection contains one bound album of 18 photographs of African Americans, including children, women, as well as men in military uniforms. Photographs were taken by multiple studios in Virginia including the E.C. Leath Photograph Gallery in Petersburg and the Virginia, Evans and Son Gallery in Norfolk, virginia. Other photographs were produced by New York based studios including Adams Studio and Richard Ward Studio. The photographs include carte de visites, tintypes and postcards.

Included with Thomas' letters are letters from his father and other family members. This collections is currently in processing and is not fully available to researchers. The collection guide will be updated once processing of the collection is complete.
Christopher Wren Singers Records
Contains letters, post cards, scrapbooks, audio CDs and other material related to the Christopher Wren Singers, an a capella student organization that specializes in singing madrigal music. Included in the accession are letters and postcards from alumni, scrapbooks of events from 1991-2001, and a 2012 book celebrating 25 years of the Cristopher Wren Singers.
Alice Combs Scrapbook
Scrapbook, 1946-1948 kept by Alice Comb of Baltimore, Maryland, started at the occasion of her marriage to William Combs, Jr. in 1946.
Included are wedding greeting cards and hand written congratulation tags, and telegrams relating to the wedding and the couple's honeymoon New York City. Also included are postcards, programs, anniversary and birthday cards.

Some of the papers relate to the American Fireside Club, of which Eleanor Fredricks was the organizer.

A 77 page scrapbook containing 50 postcards, 3 dried flowers, 7 photos, and 254 pages of letters written by Genevieve Kerdell. Kerdell sent the letters and postcards to her parents over the course of her travels through Europe in 1928. The countries visited include Italy, France, Germany, and England.

Hispanic Society of America Postcard Collection
Approximately 150 postcards (3.5x5) of buildings and scenes from throughout Latin America including Cuba, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Peru, Argentina and Uruguay as well as Spain published by the Hispanic Society of America. The postcards are black and white photographs. The descriptions in the box and folder list in this finding aid are taken from the reverse side of the postcards.
