Thomas Russell Bowden Letter
Letter written by Thomas Russell Bowden to the editor of New England Magazine on May 16, 1892 in response to an article published in December 1891 as to "Why the South was defeated in the Civil War." Bowden requests the opportunity to submit a written response to the article and includes his thoughts regarding the South and specifically Virginia as well as his longstanding familial ties to both the state, Williamsburg, and the College of William and Mary.

John Brown Letter to James Brown
One letter from John Brown of Philadelphia to his brother, James Brown. The letter concerns life in the military. Brown describes the conduct of Benjamin Logan, Colonel of the Kentucky County, Virginia militia, the sale of Brown's property on Potts Creek in Virginia, and the possible resignation of General Arthur St. Clair from the army.
Dabney Browne Letter to G. Southall
One letter from Dabney Browne, a professor at the College of William and Mary, to G. Southall concerning the room and board for members of the Jones family. He states the Jones' would have to sleep in a room without a fireplace and sit in the family sitting room. The charge for board would be 120 dollars each, with a tuition fee of 20 dollars.

Carl Eugene Buffington Papers, 1939
This collection contains a script copy, photograph, and event program for the William & Mary's Backdrop Club production of "Set to Munich," a musical satire about the Munich Four Power Agreement, which refers to Nazi Germany's expansion in Europe. The play was co-written by Willim & Mary students Eugene Buffington, Roger Child, Bill Greene, and Nick Woodbridge in 1939.
Emily Calkins Scrapbook
The scrapbook of Emily Calkins includes news clippings related to the College of William and Mary as well as events from throughout Virginia for the time period 1936-1942.
Caroline Maury Baker Papers
This collection includes a scrapbook created by Baker while a student at William & Mary. It is largely clippings combined with handwritten notes. The paper is very fragile. A copy has been made for patron use. Also included are two letters written to her by her son, Tom Hunter, while he was a student at William & Mary in 1967.
