Diary, 1890-1897, of Katherine Hamilton of Shreveport, Louisiana. The first part of the diary details a trip that Hamilton took to Europe aboard the steamship Scythia, from June 1890 to September 1890. The next part of her diary details a trip that Hamilton took to New Orleans in December 1892. The rest of the diary includes very brief entries about particular days, including when she visited Chicago for the World's Fair in 1893.

Diary, 1862, of M.L. Higgins of Connecticut. She was born on 11 March 1813 and her occupation seems to include teaching women how to make bouquets and wreathes out of hair. Entries relate to her daily activities, which primarily concern her daughter Alice and Alice's husband Frederick. Also includes stories about injured and dead soldiers coming back from the Civil War.

Contains diaries written by Nellie M. Hill of Fitchburg and Groton, MA. Entries include information about the weather, visitors, and her daily activities. Also included are cash account ledgers at the end of each diary.

Diaries, 1905-1915, of Ida Marion Gilliam, who lived in or around Prince Edward County, Virginia. There are references to the Jamestown Exposition of 1907 and Haley's Comet. Describes her family's life on a tobacco farm, her school life, church life, and social events.

Contains diaries, 1956-1957, of Kay Walrath, a nurse. Diaries contain entries about her daily life, her Catholicism, going to confession, and other matters.

Scanned journal entries handwritten by Kelly Smith, Newport News high school teacher and member of the greater Williamsburg community. Smith described the ten-page journal: “Personal journal entries of thoughts, emotions, experiences during the COVID-19 outbreak, ranging from March 15, 2020-March 31, 2020. Bishop Knestout-- Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Richmond Kevin-- my husband Kristen-- my cousin Jenny- the principal of the school I teach at.”

Diary, 1928-1930 of Lena Leidigh of Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio. In daily entries Lena Leidigh describes her household chores and activities of her husband and children, their social life and local events.

Diary, 1938-1958, of Lyla Sivesind of Minnesota. Sivesind went on four separate missionary trips: in 1938 to France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway; in 1940 to Hawaii and locations in Asia; in 1948 to Egypt and Italy; and her final trip is to Italy and Israel.

Diary, 1886, of Margaret Hudson on her trip to the 1886 Liverpool Exposition in England. The first 20 pages of the volume are diary entries, while the rest is a journal of expenses and notes.

Diary, 1813-circa 1820s, of Maria Boller of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It seems that she may have lived in Gothic Mansion on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia; a reproduction of an engraving of that house is included. Includes essays entitled "Disappointments," "Education," and "Religion," as well as copies of letters written to friends.

The diaries of Helen Liszka Marx are two notepads, one with personal information such as poems and addresses, and the other a diary of her travels from Chicago to Ohio, Vermont, Oklahoma, and Missouri from June 1935 to August 1936.

Diaries, 1900 and 1912, of Mary E. Anderson of Alleghany and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In daily entries she talks about chores, social visits, church, collecting books for 'Mrs. Booker T. Washington's club for colored women.'

Also included are 2 news clippings regarding predictions made by clairvoyants and one clipping with a recipe for facial cream. There is also a postcard featuring Betty Springer as well as well as a calling card with her name on it.

Diary, 1833, of Mary Silbee. Contains aphorisms, poems, and other entries that typically address topics such as religion, love, and relationships. The journal entries are undated and fill the entire volume.

Diaries and photographs, 1937-1949, of Muriel McCormick.  McCormick was a staff member at the United States embassy in Paris, France, from 1945-1946, and much of the collection chronicles her travels through Europe.
