It acknowledges receiving Young's acceptance of his position of Physical Director, Physician, and Coach. The second letter is from President Lyon G. Tyler and dated September 7, 1911. It discusses the condition of employment and includes Young's salary.
William L. Edwards Correspondence
Letter from William Edwards from Richmond, Virginia to his sister dated November 3, 1850. In it he relays his regrets that work commitments will not allow him to visit as soon as he would like. Edwards is a lawyer or judge and is summoned to serve in the Alexandria, Virginia area local and state circuit courts for the foreseeable future. He asks that she send along his regrets and wishes everyone well, even the servants, especially the servant Alfred.

William Lyons Letter
Letter from William Lyons, no place, to Mr. Hendirsin [Henderson?], Chief Examiner, Onadago, no place. He requests that he see Mister Brown the paymaster at the Onadago and have his accounts sent to the hospital as he had been discharged a month ago. The letter includes a note from W.L. Nicole, Fort Darling, dated April 5, 1865, stating that the chief wished him to act on this letter and hopes that he will also.

Letters written from Private William M. Long during World War II. Most of them are to his wife, Glenora. There are also letters from Mrs. Long to her husband. Long was stationed at Camp Lee, Virginia. Long served with the Headquarters Detachment 13th Army Service Forces, Infantry Regiment while at Fort Lee.

Fee book, 1800-1818, of William Mann, Marshall [U. S. District Court] of Virginia, listing fees for serving legal papers. The volumes also includes account, 1814-1815, with laborers, a list, 1821, of bonds due to Mann, and notes, 1877, concerning the Gresham family.
