The Faculty Women's Caucus, established in 1979, evolved from the Women's Equality Association which was established in 1973. The Caucus was created to improve communication among faculty and faculty-equivalent women in the different departments and schools, to identify issues of concern, and to attempt to resolve those issues in a favorable manner.
