Included are photographs, an autograph album, a manuscript cookbook, receipts, two ledgers, a Bible and hymn book, a Wissler family record for the descendants of William Franklin Wissler and Elizabeth Mayer (m. 1890), and correspondence.

The Wissler family was from Grottoes, Virginia. They came from the family of William Franklin Wissler, who married Elizabeth Mayer in the late 1800s. One of the photo albums within this collection records their marriage and their children. Jacob Mayer Wissler, one of their children, married Alice L Erb and there are items related to her family as well. The Erb family was from Grottoes and Columbia Furnace, Virginia along with parts of southern Pennsylvania.
