Postcards are interspersed throughout the diaries. Cities visited include Chamonix, Bossons Glacier, Mont Blanc, Lake Como, Geneva, Verona, Milan, Venice, Heildelburg, Nuremberg, Luzern, Zurich, Interlaken, Bern, Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin, Paris, Potsdam, Brussels, and Amsterdam.
