Print of German and English language political cartoon on newsprint by George Colt satirizing William & Mary's efforts to seek restitution from damages to campus sustained during the Civil War. In 1893 the U.S. government paid William & Mary for damages. The College is depicted as a "rebel claims monster." The print is undated, but was likely printed between 1890-1895.

Content Description A 17 x 11 inch signed print of a profile study done by Lewis Cohen for a sculpture of James Blair. The statue was commissioned by William & Mary for the 300th anniversary of the university. The original sketch was drawn in 1992. This particular print was given as a gift by the Muscarelle Museum of Art to its Patron members, Board of Directors, and major donors during a Thank-You Event on May 5, 2006. This collections contains original drawings, maps, and other material by technical illustrator Louis W. Luedtke. The bulk of the collection contains drawings related to Colonial Williamsburg buildings, interiors, holiday decorations.

Included with this collection is biographical information relating to Loius Luedtke including his childhood, articles relating to his work, and photographs of him and his family.
