Series contains correspondence between Angleberger and publishering houses, Henry Holt Books for Young Readers and Farrar Straus Giroux, as he sought a publisher for his 2012 book, Horton Halfpott.

The letter to Farrar Straus and Giroux is an illustrated piece with characters from Horton Halfpott included in the text. There are two copies of this letter, with slightly different text.

Merle Kimball Papers

Two, one page letters with envelopes from Nikki Giovanni to Dr. Barry Beckham. The letter dated May 7, 1989 regards Giovanni's son. The letter dated March 22, 1989 states that Giovanni has been trying to contact Dr. Beckham unsuccessfully.

William Welling Papers

Welling worked as a journalist for the Hamden Chronicle from 1949-1950 and several of his articles are included in the collection.
