Diggs Family Papers
Business and family papers of the Charles R. and Charles E. Diggs family of Mathews, Virginia and Susan, Virginia. The Diggs Family owed an automobile engine business. In 1921, it was named "Overland and Willys Knight Automobiles Mianus Engines, " but had other names through the years. The family also sold seafood products. Charles Robert Diggs worked in various automotive and machine shops in the area after 1920's.
John Dillinger Photograph Album
Photograph album, circa 1950s, of John Dillinger. Primarily contains picture of Dillinger in the United States Army, with handwritten annotations by his unnamed brother. Includes pictures from the United States as well as pictures from what seems to be Korea.

Fred Charles Doyle Photo Album
Photo album, 1880-1942 of Colonel Fred Charles Doyle, circa 1885-1955. The album contains both formal photographs, like studio portraits and military group pictures, and snapshots of family and friends and of places where the Doyle family traveled and worked. Those places include: Texas, Massachusetts, Arizona, Oklahoma and the Philippines.
Margetta Hirsch Doyle Papers
This collection contains diaries, photographs, and other material related to Margetta Doris (Hirsch) Doyle. The bulk of the collection consists of material related to Margetta Doyle's days as a student at Mary from 1941-1945. The collection also includes a diary, photographs, and financial information concerning a trip to China, Japan, and Hong Kong in the fall of 1984 by Margetta Hirsch Doyle, her husband, and two friends. The diaries contain summary notes compiled by Margetta Doyle.

This collection includes three postcards, forty-four photos, and four assorted pictures, mainly of Anne Townsend Dudley's William and Mary years (1922-1926). Most of the photos were used in the 1924 Colonial Echo.

Earl Gregg Swem Family Papers
Papers, 1871-1984, much of which concerns the estate of Earl Gregg Swem, his wife, Lilia Slaughter Hansbrough Swem, and their family. Included in the collection are correspondence, photographs, clippings, deeds and other material. Some of the topics covered in the collection include Swem family genealogy, the construction and dedication of the Earl Gregg Swem Library, as well as correspondence and photographs of the Swem family.
Early Twentieth Century Photographs
Five faded black and white photographs, circa 1910, possibly scenes in Williamsburg and/or other parts of Virginia: Old mill in disrepair, a group of people standing near a trolley or railroad car, the shoreline of a river, a colonial style house with a girl on the porch and a horse and buggy on a dirt road.

Perry Ellis Collection
This collection includes material related to fashion designer Perry Ellis including photographs, invitations to his shows, programs from shows, and newspaper clippings concerning his clothing lines. Box 2 is entirely newspapers and news clippings.
Ephemera Collection
The Ephemera Collection contains material primarily acquired for teaching. It includes material in various formats, most of which have been previously published. The collection is currently being processed and new items will be added on an ongoing basis. For this reason, the indicated date range is approximate at this point.

Stanley Farnum Papers
This collection contains correspondence, photos, and certificate of completion for Stanley Farnum while he was a student of the Army Specialized Training Program held at the College of William and Mary from 1943-1944. The correspondence is made up of Mr. Farnum's letters home to his parents about the Training Program and his experiences there. The photographs are of Stanley Farnum, his wife, and other cadets outside their barracks on campus.
