Lanetta Merriweather Women's Army Corps Letters

Scope and Contents Letters of Lanetta Merriweather, an African American who joined the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps in World War II. From Texas, she was a graduate of Sam Houston College and served as a teacher in civilian life.  Her husband, Lee Merriweather also served in the Army during World War II.  Most of the letters are between her and her spouse.  There are also letters from family members, one in particular detailing a house fire that claimed the lives of all of her cousin's children. ...

Papers, 1783-1837, of William Langborn and concerning his estate which was administered by Burwell Bassett. Includes letters, 1793-1805, from William Murdock, agent for Langborn in London, Eng. and typescripts of letters, 1790-1791, from William Langborn to William Short; and abstract from the correspondence of William Short concerning Langborn. Subjects discussed by Murdock include Jay's Treaty; and Langborn's rental houses in London.

This collection contains course material and a scrapbook, created in 1980, commemorating the 50th reunion of the William and Mary Class of 1930. Scope and Contents This collection consists of three letters written by Carl Laskey of the U.S. Navy while aboard the USS Pickaway in the Pacific during the Korean War. Two of the letters are addressed to the Harner family in Lancaster, Ohio. The other is addressed to his wife, Anne, in San Diego, California. She describes her journey and extended length to sail from Boston to Africa because of the lack of winds and favorable conditions for the vessel. Bill Lawrence Papers

This collection is composed entirely of scripts from Bill Lawrence. It includes approximately 90 scripts, including one from a 1996 episode of the television series "Spin City," and the rest from the television series "Scrubs" from the period 2001-2008. Many of the scripts are broadcast drafts, but the later ones become mostly shooting drafts. The scripts are ordered by the script number and not necessarily by date broadcast. Many of the scripts are signed by Bill Lawrence.
