Scope and Contents

This collection is composed entirely of scripts from Bill Lawrence. It includes approximately 90 scripts, including one from a 1996 episode of the television series "Spin City," and the rest from the television series "Scrubs" from the period 2001-2008. Many of the scripts are broadcast drafts, but the later ones become mostly shooting drafts. The scripts are ordered by the script number and not necessarily by date broadcast. Many of the scripts are signed by Bill Lawrence.

Collection is open to all researchers for use in the Special Collections Research Center in Swem Library only. Biographical Information:

Bill Lawrence (born December 6, 1968) is an American screenwriter, producer and director, best known as the creator of the television series "Scrubs." He graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1990. Lawrence wrote for hit shows including "Friends," "Boy Meets World," and "The Nanny" and produced the animated series "Clone High." He is also the creator of the sitcoms "Spin City," "Scrubs," and "Cougar Town."
