Samuel Auchnuty, New York to St. George Tucker, 1772 February 15

I find that you have some men among you, who call themselves clergymen of the Church of England, who have betrayed the cause of the Church and have dared publicly to protest against the united voice of all their Brotheren (Brethren) for American Bishops. I am told one or two of these are professors in your College. If you can afford any ancedotes concerning them, you will oblige me.
