Daybook, October-December, 1884 (501pp.) of the Hook and Ladder Company 9 (New York, N.Y.) . Included is a list of members with address and members' signatures. Entries were made several times per hour and record the exact time, name, and rank of each member and duties assigned, arriving and leaving work, relieving other members etc. Company action call entries include details on how calls were received, response, who attended the call and also who did not and why, when members returned, etc.
The following list of members was excerpted from the volume by the seller: "Daniel Brady, Henry Teal, Thomas Ahearn or O'Hearn, Jacob Butler, Timothy Mcdonald, Robert Grace, Moses Ryer, Henry Ehlent, Thomas Larkin, William Lines, Willliam Miller, Edward White, Charles Stripling, Michael Wall, Samuel Banta, John Farley, William Martin, John Bearman., George Waldeck, John Doran and James Rehill [?]" Names of members of other companies that worked with No. 9 are mentioned as well but have not been transcribed.
