Scope and Contents

This collection consists of a booklet of lectures given as part of the 1964 Thomas Jefferson Faculty Lectures.  Titles of the lectures include "Science and Thomas Jefferson's America," "Science and Philosophy of Life," "Science and Goethe's 'Faust'," "Science and the Novel," "Science, Civilians, and the Military," and "Science and Social Responsibility."
