Scope and Contents
Henry C. Semple to John Tyler (Jr.), Washington, D.C.? A short note explaining that Semple is sending a copy of his address given at William and Mary. It was a pious labor and he wishes to know Tyler’s opinions of it. The rest of the letter is hard to read. Enclosed with the letter is a copy of the speech, signed by Semple, titled, “Address of Henry C. Semple to the Society of the Alumni of William and Mary College, July 4, 1890.” Envelope included.
