Scope and Contents
Robert Tyler, Montgomery, AL to John Tyler, Jr. Robert was sorry to hear about the loss of John’s paper by the fire. He has heard that the Republicans in Pensacola, white and black, favor John for governor. Among other news, Priscilla has been sick, and the family has recently been in Savannah. Robert’s health has recently improved. He will send this letter to Jacksonville in hopes of finding John there. A postscript asks John to send information about a Mrs. Bethune in Jacksonville and if her daughter Josephine is married. Includes envelope.
