Scope and Contents

John Tyler (Jr.), CSA, Richmond, Virginia to Major Gen Sterling Price [DUPLICATE]. Tyler discusses the possibility that Price will move into Missouri in the spring so as to take advantage of the power and resources in the [Old?] Northwest and to relieve some of the pressure on Gen. Lee. Tyler predicts Confederate troops will have to leave Richmond and Petersburg in the spring and give up a large amount of land. Price is encouraged to make whatever territorial gains he can. Tyler is afraid the North will implement a draft.
