Scope and Contents

Stephen D. Harris described this collection as “deeds, mortgages, deeds of trust, leases and other legal documents prepared by Ashton Dovell, Vernon M. Geddy, B. D. Peachy and numerous other attorneys then practicing in the area.”  He wrote that “the total number of legal documents . . . is Five Hundred Forty Nine of which Forty are handwritten either entirely or primarily and the remaining are typographic.”
