Apologizes for not having written sooner; wishes that he had come to see them when he was in Richmond; wishes William had gone to America with him; Mr. Eggleston [her brother-in-law] must miss his wife; also is upset about the death John Maury; Eliza and her sons are staying with her after John's death; Eliza is doing better than expected; Richard Maury was sorry he did not get a chance to see James; Fontaine Maury is trasveling but has not been to see her yet; Abram Maury has not been to visit since James left, and is waiting for the company to leave before he comes; she and her husband are well; their children have been sick; sends regards. 3pp. ALS
