Received his letters; Mr. and Mrs. Maury and Ann have returned from Buxton; received the clothes he had ordered for him from Cain; the current fashions; Mr. Bailey and his new wife; difficulty of evaluating and describing each of the Hhds [hogsheads?]; news of John Ewart and [William] Latham; attended a ball at the Wellington Rooms; W.
