Thanks her for his last letter; she and the rest of his family are in his thoughts, is obliged to Mr. Anderson for visiting his [JM] relatives for him; is pleased to hear about his nephew William; suspects that their brother Fontaine's wife has died; although the letter he received from him does not directly say so; is troubled by news that their brother Matthew is in "a very dangerous way", a third son was born on September 29th, named him Matthew; family sends respects. 2pp. ALS Including T's of ALS, 2pp.
