with the W&M Middle Eastern Music Ensemble Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre A virtuoso on the oud and violin, Shaheen deftly leaps from Arabic to Classical to Jazz styles. The recipient of the National Heritage Award and Grammy Award nominee for his album, Blue Flame, his career as recording artist and composer is internationally known. Shaheen will be in residence with the W&M Middle Eastern Music Ensemble with is directed by Dr Anne K Rasmussen for 2 days prior to the concert
