Accounts - Customers, 1882-1886

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 2
Identifier: id286954

Scope and Contents

Scope and Contents Mainly handwritten notes from customers requesting items. Most notes are on slips of paper and many on torn lined notebook paper. Some customers asked Shepherd and Patton to give money or give merchandise to someone as payment for a service and put it on their account. On the reverse side of most notes there is the name of the person and date when paid. Includes an invoice for Mrs. Sallie Dennis from "John F. Shepherd" of Columbia, Va. It is possible that John F. Shepherd's business became Shepherds and Patton.
