The Hall of the House of Burgesses in Williamsburg’s Capitol building reminds visitors of stirring events at the time of the American Revolution. Patrick Henry’s personal copy of his resolves against the Stamp Act is on display, along with the city’s mace and the original Speaker’s Chair, reinstalled when the Capitol was opened in 1934.
