This video recording was digitized from a film documenting the College of William & Mary 1939 Homecoming Parade. The parade included marching bands, floats, cheerleaders, and other marchers, including students in costume as the characters from the Wizard of Oz. The film ends in the Sunken Garden where Homecoming attendees are gathered and appear to be eating. Total running time: 3:42. 16mm. Color, no audio. The film was digitized by the Safe Sound Archive in March 2011. One 16mm, 100 foot long color film of the 1939 Homecoming Parade at William and Mary. It is in good condition; but the leader is cracked. The film is approximately 3 minutes, 40 seconds long. This film has been digitized and can be viewed through the William & Mary Digital Archive. A DVD of this film was made in March 2011 and is available in the DVD series of this collection. Acc. 2010.147
