Scope and Contents History and plans for Ash Lawn, the home of President James Monroe, as drawn by students from the Univeristy of Virginia School of Architecture under the direction of K. Edward Lay and as measured in the Fall of 1979. drawings were done by Glenn R. Mac Cullough and Stuart N. Siegel.Preliminary drawings and overlays of buildings and site plan, including landscaping. History of the property purchased by Monroe in 1793 compiled by Eldon F. Wood, A.I. A of Charlottesvile, Virginia. Survey completed by Historic American Buildings Survey. This property is owned by the College of William and Mary. Sheets: 16 some tissue and overlays. Dimensions: 9"x8"(1); 9"x9.25"(1); 9"x10.5"(1);14" x 12" (1); 12"x17" (3); 21" x 14"(1); 18" x 24" (5); 28"x24" (1); 24"x 36"(1); 36"x48"(1). Condition: Poor to good with folds, tape and writings on some of the pages. Acc. 2011.456.
