Content Description Four page letter from a person from possibly Connecticut who just arrived on the island of Barbados and wishes to report that he arrived safely. The author is quick to give his opinion of the black population on the island and his disdain for them all. He even comments that there are so many it is scary to think what one should do were they to "rise up and attempt to cut our throats". He also remarks that he has a new "patent Volcanic Repeating Pistol which shoots ten times before...
