This collection contains nine Virginia Probate Inventories listing the assets of several estates, including male and female slaves. Each inventory lists how many slaves were purchased, their gender, and an approximate age range, usually "between 12 and 50 years of age." One of the inventories is for a female property owner. Most of the inventories are about 15 lines long and are in good condition.
