Henry E. Baker Column, "Our Modern Poets"
Three copies of typed poem, "Jack Joett Rides" by Henry E. Baker. Attached is an advertisement entitled "Remarks on Jack Jouett's Ride" with a sheet requesting newspapers to contact Mr. Baker in Newport News, Virginia for a subscription to his "Our Modern Poets" column. 1941.
Mary Thedieck Ewald Papers, circa 1934-1990
Contains notebooks, sheet music, correspondence, manuscripts and other material pertaining to Mary Thedieck Ewald, class of 1942 at the College of William and Mary. The bulk of the papers relates to Ewald's writing career, mainly poetry. The collection also contains notebooks from her undergraduate days at William & Mary as well as graduate notebooks from Harvard University.
Julia Seldon Grandy Papers
Includes manuscripts of poetry written by Julia Selden Grandy who lived in Norfolk, Va. and Baltimore, Md. as well as short stories by Grandy; translations by Grandy of French poetry written by Stephen Mallarme (1842-1898); diaries kept while in school in New York and on trips to Paris and London; published books by Grandy; and scrapbooks. Includes a biography, poem and her obituary.
May Sarton collection
This collection contains a small archive of books and correspondence from May Sarton, consisting of a copy of "The Fur Person" which was signed by Ms. Sarton, E.M. Sarton's "Letters to May", a signed broadside of "December Moon" with person inscription by Ms. Sarton, a get-well card, a Valentine's Day card, and a condolence card.
