A single four page letter written by Thomas Skinker to associate Dr. Nathaniel Vanderwall Clopton of Virginia from whom he describes renting enslaved people. The letter concerns topics relating to slavery including the annual hiring of named enslaved people and details about an injured enslaved person.

Employee ledger, 1890-1892, of the St. Joseph & Grand Island Railway of Missouri and Nebraska. Includes dates of employment, positions for which they were hired, disciplinary records, and reasons for firing employees, among other details. Copies of disciplinary letters are often attached into the ledger with a nail.

Includes reports and correspondence, 1877- 1888, of Taylor who served as the clerk of the First School District in Goochland County.
