Hildagarde Pabst Letters
Twelve letters with envelopes, a total of 26 pages. All the letters are addressed to Hilda or Hildagarde Pabst. Five of the letters were sent to her while she was at William and Mary, the others were to addresses around Richmond. The bulk of the letters are signed "Frank." One is signed "Mille," and her father Dr. Rudolph Pabst sent the rest from a hospital in Philadelphia.

The photograph is a carte de visite (cdV) which is a type of small photograph patented in Paris, France by photographer André Adolphe Eugène Disdéri in 1854, although first used by Louis Dodero. In the photograph, Ennis is wearing a suit with a striped bow-tie The photograph was produced in 1872 by the C.R. Rees & Co. studio in Richmond, Virginia.
