Six letters from Jesse Jones to his daughter ranging from 1854- 1860.  The letters are from Norfolk, Virginia and are mostly reminders for his daughter to attend church, pray, and read her Bible.  They also mention that he is glad to hear of her improving health.  One references yellow fever in Norfolk.

This letter was written from Norfolk, Virginia on March 16, 1899. The stationary uses a New Atlantic Hotel letterhead. The letter was written to Mrs. T. H. Bliss, wife of Tasker H. Bliss, in Rosemont, Pennsylvania. It was written by her brother. It discusses her brother's time in Norfolk waiting to return to Pennsylvania, and lists visits he made.
