Papers, 1840-1906, of Peter W. Ferrell of Danville, Virginia. Includes correspondence, 1860-1873, concerning family news, debts, and the shipping of staves. Correspondents include his brother James O. Ferrell, a teacher at the Kentucky Military Institute, Farmdale, Kentucky.; his brother-in-law John M. Sutherlin of New Orleans, Louisiana; and various companies in Halifax County, Virginia.

Lambert-Sheetz Family Papers

Papers, 1814-1907, of the Lambert and Sheetz families of Augusta and Shenandoah counties. Include papers of Daniel H. Lambert, Staunton, Va. including his orders as a conscript in the Confederate Army in 1864 and his Oath of Allegiance to the United States in July 1865. Also include letters received by James and Joseph L. Sheetz, Woodstock, Shenandoah County and a single page extra newspaper issued by The Valley Virginian at the time of the riot, 3 November 1883,in Danville, Va.

William E. Land Scrapbook

This collection consists of a scrapbook that belonged to William E. Land, class of 1941, while a student at the College of William and Mary. Included in the scrapbook are photographs of William and Mary buildings and grounds, students, Commencement, and Colonial Williamsburg buildings. There are also loose photographs and an article from 1972 regarding Land's appointment as Judge of the Municpal Court in Danville, Virginia.

Collection includes correspondence of members of the Tabb family with Tabb and business letters written to him.   The letters primarily concern the business that Tabb conducted in Danville, Virginia. Letter comments on dining at "White Marsh" for three and one half hours and the $20,000 worth of silver on the table,...
