Arithmetic book, 1798-1805, of Charles Wingfield Hamner [Campbell County, Va.].  Contains loose fragments which say "John Hamner and ? married 7th, 1811, Harriett Mills Hamner...Mary Ann Hamner...Lucy Jane Hamner, Elizabeth Joyner Hamner..."  Loose receipts from 1824, 1825 and 1841.

Account books, 1868-1873, of T. H. Love and John B. Winfree, possibly carpenters, tobacconists or proprietors of a hardware store in Lynchburg, Va. Some prominent names mentioned are "Robert and Virgee and "Miller and Franklin." Most accounts are from the Lynchburg area, but include businesses and people in Memphis, Tennessee; Knoxville, Tennessee; Norfolk, Virginia; New Orleans, Louisiana and other towns, particularly in Virginia and Tennessee. 8 volumes

Correspondence and notes on Virginia families by Mrs. Margaret H. Morton, genealogist, of Farmville, Virginia in response to inquires.  Most of her notes are transcriptions of courthouse records, though she often created family trees for clients and clients sometimes sent their genealogy history to her.

Mrs. Morton's inventory is filed in the first folder, which lists folders not received with the accession.

Includes index of family names and inquirers.
