Handwritten date, 1839, and handwritten note, "as adopted at Newcastle on Tyne." Also contains handwritten notes rewriting some of the points given in the petition, plus ends with "shew this to Gustavus." The writer seemed particularly concerned with the relations between Great Britain and Russia....

November 3, 1882 letter from Israel Green of Mt. Vernon, Ohio to his daughter, Clara G. Murphy in Indiana, about his letter to the editor on November 6, 1858 in the Daily Cincinnati Gazette supporting Lincoln for President. Describes circumstances that led to the letter.

Israel Green was known as the first person to publically suggest Abraham Lincoln for President.

Girl Scout Memory Book, 1934-36, compiled by teenager Harriet Simmons of Staunton, Virgina. Harriet Simmons documented her girl scout summer camps and Camp May Flather, near Harrisonburg, Virginia, with photographs, clippings and handwritten diary entries. She also records her badges, overnight hikes, swimming lessons and other activities. Included are 2 ID cards, and a photo postcard of the camp.
