Scrapbook, circa 1930s, of Francesca Maietta Magrino, who was born in 1917. Primarily includes clippings of photographs of celebrities, actors, actresses, singers, and other public figures. There are stills from the movies that the celebrities were in as well as candid shots from the celebrities' daily lives. Clippings typically include the caption from the newspaper, but sometimes that caption is absent.

Ledger, 1887, of the Adams Brothers and Payne Building Supplies Company of Lynchburg, Virginia. Includes lists of accounts with various patrons, who primarily purchase timber and spokes for wheels from the company. Also includes information about the status of each account, such as whether or not it is paid in full or still has charges outstanding.

Scope and Contents From the Collection:

Diary, 1862, of M.L. Higgins of Connecticut. She was born on 11 March 1813 and her occupation seems to include teaching women how to make bouquets and wreathes out of hair. Entries relate to her daily activities, which primarily concern her daughter Alice and Alice's husband Frederick. Also includes stories about injured and dead soldiers coming back from the Civil War.

Letters, 1944-1945, of Howard Ramey, a member of the United States Naval Construction Battalion, also known as the Seabees, and stationed upon the USS New Jersey during World War II. The letters are primarily written to his grandparents, whose names are unknown. Letters primarily concern Ramey's inquiries about life in the United States as well as his feelings about his service in the Navy. In one letter, Ramey mentions that there is much about which he is not allowed to write.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: Diary, 1967, of Lisa Karlin, a young woman on a trip to Israel and Syria. Primarily concerns the places that she visited each day, which include the University of Tel-Aviv, a "Yemonite village," a kibbutz, and a mosque. Karlin also says that they were taken "unofficially" into Syria, where they saw destruction caused by the Six Day War, including destroyed tanks and guns.
