Collection of eight unused illustrated postal covers. Each with a wood engraving, printed in red or black, and satirizing the Confederate leadership or military as seen from the Union point of view.

23 love letters written by Edward Boulanger to his wife (name unknown) in Gardner, Massachusetts, during WWII. About nine letters were written while he was at Camp Peary in Williamsburg, Va.; about fourteen letters were written while overseas in New Guinea and the Philippines. The letters indicate he was a Seabee (the construction battalions the Navy used in WWII). Of note is the Camp Peary letterhead.

11 letters written to Army Private Anthony Korczak from Dot Tocha, a nursing student from Buffalo, NY in 1945. At the time, Korczak was stationed at Camp Howze, Texas and Fort Meade, Maryland. The letters describe Tocha's day-to-day activities and affections for Korczak.
