Content Description

Folder one holds a program for the Fisk Jubilee Singers at McIntire Amphitheatre, a program for the Wofford College Glee Club 1926-27 season, and thirty-one 2 x 3 1/4 inch photos that were removed from an album. Four of these photos have identifying text written on them.

Folder two holds items taken from where they were sandwiched between the July 19 and August 19 pages of the Upsilon Delta Beta Memory Book. Five issues of the Flat Hat from 1922 and 1923, as well a a couple newspaper clippings, a marriage announcement, and a note with an envelope.

Folder three holds correspondence. Twelve letters, six empty envelopes, a telegram, and a blank annual report form all found wedged in the back cover of the Memory Book. These items all pertain to Upsilon Delta Beta, or to Kappa Kappa Gamma.

There is one 17 x 12 inch Memory Book. The first entry is dated 1922. Contains member information, the names of the founders, labeled photos from Tree Top Camp 1921, two pages which have had photographs torn from the pages, and multiple pages of attached ephemera such as cards, envelopes, and invitations.

Upsilon Delta Beta was merged with the Gamma Kappa Chapter of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity (also referred to as a Sorority) in February of 1923.

Biographical / Historical

According to the Memory Book, Upsilon Delta Beta was organized as a local fraternity at William & Mary on September 24, 1920 by Mary Nash Tatem, Dorothy Zirkle, Blanche Kennedy and Dorothy Terrill.
