Scope and Contents

Collection of short stories written by Charles Haven Liebe under the pen name of Hapsburg Liebe. There are two groups of printed stories, taken from the periodicals in which they appeared. The other 301 stories are in typescript, generally in carbon copy, with typed or autographed notes by the author on the first page. Most of the stories in the collection are Westerns, of the type which appeared in most of the pulp magazines, and in some of the slicks, during the first half ot he 20th century. Other less frequent types present are stories concerning mountain people and army adventures, and there are a few which deal with exotic themes and with autobiography. The few manuscripts that are dated indicate that these stories were written between the early 1910s and the early 1950s. They average about 8-15 pages per story.
