Professional papers of Donald M. Sweig (William and Mary B. A. 1973  Ph. D 1982. Includes research notes, and correspondence regarding publication of articles in The William and Mary Quarterly, The Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, and Prologue. These papers include the correspondence, draft and original photographs/negatives to accompany article in VMHB on seal of the College, drafts and proofs of articles, research notes and census data  tied to his master's thesis at George Mason University (M. A. 1975), as well as photocopies of primary sources concerning free blacks in northern Virginia (primarily Fairfax county, Loudoun county, Arlington county and Fredericksburg).  There are also  newspaper clippings of his activities as historian for Fairfax County, Virginia.
