Papers, 1842-1863, of the Rawlings family of Brunswick County, Va. Mostly correspondence, 1859-1863, of William Mort Rawlings including his correspondence, 1861-1863, while serving in the 21st Virginia Infantry Regiment with his father Joseph W. Rawlings, mother Martha A. G. Rawlings, sisters Amanda J. Rawlings and Henrietta V. Rawlings, and brothers Robert Larkin Rawlings (also serving in the Confederate States Army), J. S. Rawlings and P. H. Rawlings. Also includes indenture, 1842, between George B. Rawlings and Robert Rawlings; and orders, 1846, and account, 1853, of Joseph W. Rawlings.
