"This journal is a very detailed account of the meetings, members, officers, activities, and events of the Club which met regularly at "the School House" near Scott's Creek. The group was made up of both men and women with the group concerning itself with promoting the good of the Logan Schools and socializing. The entries cover all aspects of the club or organization and are written in a personal manner with most of the entries describing the plays, songs, talks, addresses, games, contests, meals, and musical performances provided by the members and/or guests. As many as 90 people would attend some of these meetings about once a month so they were well attended and quite popular in the community. As an example, the first entry ends with "It was an enjoyable evening for all-especially enjoyed the lovely music around the campfire while roasting wieners and drinking ice tea".
