Content Description

Scrapbook consisting of childhood reminisces from Marianna Christian about her family. As a small child, Marianna kept a collection of letters, drawings, postcards, and advertisements in which she provided context, usually in crayon. The scrapbook includes report cards that belonged to her father, William Christian, as well as letters to and from Marianna's parents, family, and friends. There are also drawings from her family as well as herself, newspaper clippings that feature her family as well as one featuring her and a friend preparing for a swim competition while at a public pool. Williamsburg area pamphlets and ephemera are also dispersed throughout the scrapbook.
