Scope and Contents

Acc. 2008.052 contains property files related to buildings owned or leased by William and Mary.

Acc. 2010.253 contains correspondence, reports, and other office files from the Office of Administration from 1988 to 2006. The bulk of the files deal with various construction projects on campus, including Small Hall, Swem Library, Barrett Hall, and the School of Business. There are also budget files from both state and private funds.

Acc. 2014.091 contains construction files for buildings owned or leased by the College of William and Mary. Some of the renovation projects include those for William and Mary Hall, VIMS, Zable Stadium, Swem Library, and various classrooms and dorms.

Historical Note:

The departments within Administration provide a wide range of services to the College and broader community. As stewards of the College's human and physical resources, we are committed to providing the highest quality of service in a responsive and responsible manner. The Vice President for Administration provides leadership, planning and coordination to the College's administrative operations to develop and maintain optimal support of the College's mission and goals. As a member of the President's senior staff, the Vice President for Administration participates in College-wide strategic planning and works with the Provost and Vice President for Finance to develop the College budget. The Vice President has direct oversight of the Offices of Auxiliary Services, Campus Police, Facilities Management, Human Resources and Procurement. The Office of Administration staff provides direct support in the key areas of facilities and space planning, capital funding and budgeting, and risk management.
