Administrative History:

Lazaro Salsita is a Cuban artist who provides a creative outlet for children in his neighborhood, Cayo Hueso, and encourages the use of art as an escape from street life. His project creates an oasis where the children are involved in a wholesome and instructive pastime that keeps them engaged and entertained. Children participating in the project will be able to reach past arts and crafts by diving into the valuable underlying lessons that Lazaro demonstrates by how much can be done with so little with the use of recycled goods. He is a machine turning trash into art and teaches that there can be a perfect marriage between the useful and the beautiful. (Information courtesy of Artfully Yours)
