Series 2: Diaries, 1913-1985

 Series
Identifier: id28382

Scope and Contents

Most of Joseph Bernardin's diary entries do not go into great detail, but record the bare bones of his daily activities. He often mentions people with whom he socializes and good friends. But he rarely tells what he is reading, or mentions particulars about his parishioners or friends. He mentions places he visits, from restaurants to plays to tourist sites, but gives no detail. There is not a diary for 1914. In the back of each diary, he lists the initials of people he mentions in that year. Some years have been more fully described in the inventory than other years.
