Scope and Contents
This series contains ledgers belonging to Asa Moore Janney, a Quaker miller operating in Forest Mills, Loudoun Country, Virginia. The ledgers contain accounts of flour and other commodities provided to families of Confederate soliders. Despite this, Janney had union loyalties.
