From Annie Shield James to Alfred James; several letters for each year: usually at Christmas and February, Alfred's birthday; family news as each letter tells about the activities of the family; Annie Shield James broke her shoulder and arm in 1942; moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, circa 1946; one letter from Lillie James Hendrix.
