Annie Shields James writes her children about family news and their health and death of husband; Nellie James Land writes to Alfred James for missing big family event and needs clothes, hard times; Benjamin Rosser James is happy in his life's work of serving God; Clara James Carruthers writes from Florida in 1934 where her husband is physically and emotionally drained and in 1937 writes of a house they are going to rent in Virginia on the bay where they can fish.
